Step Back in Time

Education Area

The “STEP BACK IN TIME” Educational area was created by the Cascade Inc. Education Committee to encompass groups of Civil War Historians, Educators, Story Tellers, Entertainers and Non- Profit Heritage Organizations which normally don’t fit the designation of a registered reenactor, sutler or vendor. These organizations and individuals are encouraged to offer free informational material and or conduct hands-on exhibits in fun and entertaining ways.

Although some of us may be reenactors, this area should not be viewed as a substitute for a “register free” encampment. Anyone camping in the “STEP BACK IN TIME” Educational area must receive permission by filling out the APPLICATION provided prior to the Muster weekend. This will be strictly enforced.

Again this year, the “STEP BACK IN TIME” Educational area will be located on the East Side of the Band Shell and west of the Handicap Parking. The area will be open to the public from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on both days.  Activities are encouraged to cease at the time of the 2:00 pm Battles.
